| Name: Kotengu [小天狗]Founder: Yashushi Inoue [Renamed Kotengu Inoue after Clan creation]Leader: Kotengu ??? [Open]Settlement(s): The Kotengu clan occupies a small territory south of the border of the Minami territory. The area itself isn't populated by anyone other than the clan's families, and acts like a small private village of sorts, with the center of it being the manor of the leader's family. Clan Rules:
- Children must be taught and raised inside the clan's territory and by clan members only. After they grow up, they are free study elsewhere as well, but their initial knowledge and bases must be built inside the clan.
- Members must not question the clan's leader under any circumstances. One who does so will be thrown out of the clan along with the rest of their family.
Allies: N/A Enemies: N/A About: Origins: Yashushi Inoue was a man who chased wealth and power like his life depended on it. His family didn't really approve of it, and thus forced him out. He, in turn, saw this as an opportunity, and thus started his own clan. The clan started small, and in the form of a yakuza group, slowly taking over minor areas of the Minami territory. Inoue gradually became rich, but it wasn't long before the Minami authorities turned their eyes on him. They chased him and his clan out, though not fast enough to completely erase the Kotengu's fame and money. Inoue took what he could with him and started anew, just outside Minami. The Kotengu shifted from yankees to traders, and eventually even branched out into the mercenary field. Their small empire was overlooked (and still is overlooked) by their previous host, since they chose not to attack those who chased them out of their original settlement.
Family and Leadership: The clan started out as a group of unrelated (in blood) people, and it still is a clan made up of different sort of families. They have all come to adapt to a certain lifestyle, but they do not share the same physical characteristics, nor do they share the same style of fighting/occupation. However, it was decided that the main leading family of the clan would be the descendants of the clan's Founder, even if the heir does not qualify as the strongest individual in the clan.
Lifestyle: The Kotengu are shinobi, samurai, traders, blacksmiths, and anything else that will bring in money. Every family generally has a certain occupation they pass down through generations, but the children are free to choose a different path than their ancestors before them, as long as they are taught by a member of the clan. It is unheard of for a child of the Kotengu to travel outside the clan's territory to study whatever they want to study, and is even considered treachery in some cases.
The main focus of the clan is to expand. They may not show it through their actions, but they are set on becoming something greater, following the dream of their founder. Wealth is very important to them, and thus they prefer to bow their heads instead of getting their fortune and territory stolen. Throughout the world they are knows as the "hiring village", since they produce a good quantity of assassins and mercenaries, as well as weapons of notable quality and clothing for richer tastes.
Characteristics: The clan consists mostly of unrelated by blood families, and thus the members don't all have the same characteristics, but are rather quite different from each other. One thing they share though is the expensive looking attires they all wear, since the clan itself is quite rich, and loves to share the fact with the world. KKG: N/A KKG Description: N/A Though the clan does not have any secret or available only to them jutsu, the members that go down the shinobi path usually tend to take Crows as summonings (over other animals). | |
